User Registration
Registration helps connect a visitor’s questions and interests with an identifiable account. In Agentsy, this can make conversations more useful for both visitors and the organization offering the AI Experience. Registration is not the same as booking a meeting or becoming a qualified lead. A person may register simply to explore. The goal is to offer a useful experience and make the next step clear when the visitor is ready.Understand the visitor journey
Depending on how an AI Experience is configured, visitors may encounter registration at different points:- Discover the AI website. Visitors learn what the experience can help them explore.
- Start or request access to a conversation. Some experiences offer a guest interaction first; others require registration before chatting.
- Register or sign in when prompted. The visitor supplies the information requested by the configured flow.
- Continue the experience. After authentication, the visitor should reach the appropriate chat or landing page.
- Choose a next step. The assistant can continue helping or direct an interested visitor to a human contact option when appropriate.
The exact sequence depends on the experience’s access configuration and whether guest chat is enabled. Test the actual published flow rather than assuming every visitor sees the same screens.
Registration, guest chat, and private access
These concepts serve different purposes:
Registration alone does not make an AI Experience private. Review access settings separately if the content is intended only for invited users.
For setup details, see Guest Chat and Registration and Public and Private Access.
Configure a registration experience
Before publishing, review these decisions in your Agentsy workspace:1. Decide when visitors should register
Choose a flow appropriate to the experience’s purpose. For example, an educational public experience may benefit from allowing a short preview, while a restricted experience may need to authenticate visitors first.2. Explain why registration is requested
Use clear, visitor-centered language. For example:Create an account to continue exploring your questions and access your conversation.Avoid suggesting that registration guarantees a consultation, quote, or personalized professional advice unless that is actually provided.
3. Request only necessary information
Keep registration proportional to the experience. Do not ask visitors to include passwords, medical histories, financial account numbers, or other sensitive details in chat messages. The fields shown during registration depend on the current Agentsy implementation and configuration. Review the live form before publishing privacy statements about exactly what is collected.4. Check the destination after sign-in
After registration or sign-in, the visitor should land in the intended experience rather than an unrelated dashboard or authentication error page. Test navigation from the landing page, the guest experience, the sign-in page, and the site’s logo.5. Make human contact optional and relevant
If a visitor wants to discuss a service, request a proposal, or take a next step, the experience can direct them to the available booking or contact option. Avoid treating every registration as a sales-ready inquiry. How registration supports conversations and leads
When visitor identity and conversation information are available to an authorized organization administrator, they can help provide context for follow-up. For example, a consultant may better understand which service a prospective client is exploring. However, a registered visitor is not automatically a qualified lead. Consider expressed intent, the relevance of the questions, and whether the visitor has requested contact before deciding on follow-up.Test the registration journey
Use a fresh browser session or private browsing window to simulate a new visitor.- Open the public AI Experience landing page.
- Confirm the primary call to action opens the intended experience.
- If guest chat is enabled, verify the guest interaction works as expected.
- Trigger the registration or sign-in step and review its wording.
- Complete registration with a test account.
- Confirm that any required email-verification step behaves correctly.
- Verify the visitor reaches the intended page after authentication.
- Check whether conversation continuity behaves as intended; do not assume guest messages are retained unless you have tested it.
- Click the site logo and confirm it goes to the correct landing page.
- Repeat the journey on a mobile device.
- Check that an unauthorized visitor cannot access an invite-only experience.
Common registration problems
If a problem persists, record the page URL, the steps to reproduce it, the expected result, and the actual result before contacting support. Do not include passwords or sensitive visitor data in a bug report.
Best practices
- Provide value first when the selected access model permits it.
- Make registration expectations clear before asking visitors to complete a form.
- Keep the journey consistent across landing pages, chat, and authentication screens.
- Respect visitor intent rather than immediately pushing every registrant to book a meeting.
- Review privacy language against actual data collection and usage.
- Test every route on both desktop and mobile before launch.
